Halti is the sponsor and clothing supplier of the Finnish national biathlon teams in men’s, women’s and junior categories. The agreement with the Finnish Biathlon Federation is valid for two seasons, until the end of the 2021/2022 season.
The Biathlon World Cup events reach, on average, nearly one million TV viewers in Finland.
In Europe, biathlon has been one of the most followed winter sports for several consecutive years. The brightest stars of the team are Mari Eder and Tero Seppälä. The head coach of the team is the experienced Jonne Kähkönen.
“This cooperation is a natural continuation of Halti’s investment in snow sports. The huge popularity of the sport in Europe strengthens Halti’s visibility in international markets. We wish Team Finland great success,” says Aki Kuusilehto, CEO of Halti.

The BMW IBU World Cup in Kontiolahti, Finland, opened the season at the end of November 2020. The highlight of the season was the IBU World Championships in Pokljuka, Slovenia, in February 2021.
Halti has been working with some of the world’s top athletes for over 40 years. Product development and testing have been key components of these partnerships. Leading athletes use Halti clothing and equipment in demanding conditions and provide valuable feedback that supports ongoing product development. Alongside the Finnish national biathlon team, Halti supplies clothing to the Finnish national teams in cross-country skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined, as well as individual Team Halti athletes in different sports. The staff of the International Ski Federation (FIS) also wear Halti.
