Halti’s journey, which began in 1976, is filled with stories, innovation, and knowledge shaped by the harsh conditions of the Nordic outdoors. To honour our anniversary year, we dive into archives and memories: interviewing designers, athletes, testers, and key people behind the scenes who have helped build Halti over the decades.

Halti 50 Years: A Frosty Conquest of the Pole as Part of Finnish Outdoor History
In 1984, the Finnish Huurre expedition reached the North Pole by skiing there under their own power, making Finnish outdoor history. The Halti equipment used by the expedition had to perform in extreme conditions, day after day. The collaboration with the Huurre expedition marked a turning point in Halti’s history: the North Pole project accelerated product development and defined principles that continue to guide Halti equipment to this day. This story tells of that journey, and of how the most demanding conditions and users have pushed Halti products, even then, to enable the fulfillment of outdoor dreams.
Halti 50 Years: Reaching the Top in Style – Halti’s Journey to Becoming the Official Outfitter of the National Alpine Ski Team
In celebration of our anniversary year, we look back to the turn of the millennium and the moments when Finnish alpine skiing and Halti began their collaboration, taking a decisive step onto the international stage. The partnership with the national alpine ski team brought Halti for the first time into the heart of the “white circus” – a world the brand has now returned to with a new generation of national team athletes.
