The Halti 1976 Down Parka is made for true winter. For days when the frost bites, snow falls sideways, and you need warmth you can rely on. This thick, fully insulated parka is built for everyday use, offering steady protection whether you’re commuting, walking in the city, or spending long hours outdoors.

Developed in collaboration with Halti’s entire design team, the 1976 Down Parka honors our 50 years of Finnish design tradition. Its timeless, structured look and strong materials are chosen for long-term use. The outer fabric is dense, high-quality polyester with a subtle matte texture, giving it a clean and durable finish. All seams are taped, and both the waterproof membrane and lining are made from recycled polyester for full protection from wet and windy conditions.

Practical details make the difference. The parka includes several zippered and snap-closure pockets, an adjustable hood, waist, and cuffs, plus side zippers for ventilation and easier movement. A detachable faux fur trim and separate inner collar add comfort and wind protection. The jacket features the original Halti branding attached with a hook-and-loop fastener, with the current branding placed beneath it — a detail that pays tribute to past decades and highlights Halti’s long heritage.

The insulation is Untuvia® recycled down, an innovation developed by a Finnish start-up. The down is cleaned using a supercritical carbon dioxide process that removes all impurities without harsh chemicals or fiber damage. With a 700 fill power (80/20 duck down mix), this insulation ensures exceptional warmth even when it gets extremely cold.
