Halti won the prestigious ISPO Award for the third consecutive time
Finnish Design continues to lead in Sports Industry Innovation
Finnish premium outdoor brand Halti has won the ISPO Award with its innovative and sustainable urban jacket, Synkas 3in1 DrymaxX Parka. While renowned for its expertise in skiwear and outdoor gear, Halti has seamlessly translated its technical know-how into streetwear. The award-winning Synkas 3in1 DrymaxX Parka is a flagship product in Halti's urban streetwear line, Kallio® by Halti. Notably, this marks the second consecutive ISPO Award for the Kallio® collection and the third in a row for Halti.
The ISPO Award, presented by the leading global sports platform ISPO, recognizes the most innovative products and services in the sports industry. Halti is set to receive the award at ISPO Munich, the world's largest sports trade show, taking place from November 28 to 30, 2023.
Hanna Koivula, the designer behind the Synkas jacket at Halti, shared her perspective: “We embrace rough and changing conditions as opportunities here at Halti. The Synkas 3in1 DrymaxX Parka seamlessly blends functionality, convertibility and circularity, and aims to make everyday life easier. This parka comprises a waterproof and windproof outer jacket and an insulated inner jacket that can be easily attached or detached. Both jackets are stylish and functional independently, yet together they form an unbeatable combination for windy, wet, and cold conditions. A key feature of the jacket is its circularity, being a mono-material—every component, from snap buttons to zippers, is made of polyester, facilitating easier recycling at the end of its life. The WR treatment is PFC-free, and the jacket incorporates a significant amount of recycled material (45% in the outer and 40% in the inner jacket, and 100% in the insulation and lining). The ISPO Award Jury provided their insight: “Here, Scandinavian design, high functionality and sustainability come together to create a product that convinces in many respects. The 3-in-1 solution guarantees flexibility, and the clean look promises a long service life."
