Technical materials and merino wool, on the other hand, breathe and keep you dry during outdoor activities.

Yes! In Halti's women's base layer collection, you can find Avion Windy shirt and Avion Windy pants, where the windproof Stormwall material is used in the front of the product.

We recommend always to follow the product's own washing instructions. You can find each Halti product's own washing instructions on the product's washing label.

Technical underlayers need more washing. There are detergents made for sports clothes on the market, and in newer washing machines you can find a special washing program for sports clothes.

Merino wool underlayer on the other hand needs less washing, because the material itself is antibacterial and repels dirt and smell. Often just airing or freezing is enough. If the merino wool layer still needs washing, choose a wool washing program or a gentle 30-dgree program. We recommend using wool detergent.

By mixing technical fiber with merino wool, we will get more durable material. Product also has then features of both merino wool and technical clothing and therefore suits for example active runners, when a technical layer alone remains too cool.

In Halti's women's base layer collection, you can find the Neva merino blend layer.

Although merino wool beats other materials in many of its features, we do not recommend it for all activities. Instead of merino wool, we recommend technical synthetic fiber underwear for more active and sweaty exercise.

Both the Pihka and Hossa layers are 100% merino wool, and the difference lies in the quality of the merino wool. The merino wool in Pihka is finer and thinner in quality, while the merino wool in Hossa is thicker and rougher.
