The New Race Suit for the Finnish National Cross Country Ski Team

In time for the start of the 21/22 winter season, the Finnish national ski teams of Cross-Country and Nordic Combined, sponsored by Halti, have been equipped with a new Race Suit in blue and white colors.

Halti has been the Official Sponsor of the Finnish national teams in Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined since the 2017/2018 season. The cooperation is based on a shared team spirit and high expectations regarding quality, performance and style. To develop race suits and other apparel that meet the teams’ needs, Halti has worked closely with athletes from the Finnish national ski teams. Both partners look forward to an exciting 2021/2022 season.

The new race suit for the Cross-Country and Nordic Combined teams is called “Passion”. To support athletic performance, Halti has developed a lightweight race suit with improved airflow, flexibility and fit. One of the new features is laser-cut ventilation on the back to help manage moisture and improve comfort and breathability.

In addition, the length of the race suit can be customized, and each athlete can choose between a one-piece or two-piece version. This allows every athlete to select the option that best suits their needs and competition conditions.

For this season’s race suit design, the graphics were inspired by the theme of Lapland’s snowstorms, combining the energy of wind and winter landscapes. The white graphic details draw inspiration from the shapes of snowflakes. The blue-and-white color palette reflects both the Finnish national team and Halti’s Finnish heritage.

In addition to the race suits, all Halti clothing worn by the national ski teams is designed in Finland using a modern 3D design program. The world’s top athletes wear, test and provide feedback on the products, helping Halti continuously develop clothing for elite athletes as well as active recreational users.
