Environmental risk management and emission reduction
We are a member of amfori BEPI, which helps us identify the most significant environmental risks in our supply chain. We focus on the topics most material to our operations, such as energy, climate, water, greenhouse gas emissions, waste, and chemicals, and we measure and monitor progress. We are committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), through which we conduct a comprehensive greenhouse gas assessment across our value chain. Based on this assessment, we define clear targets for reducing our emissions. Our emissions reduction targets will be aligned with the Paris Agreement’s objective of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.
By joining SBTi, we are also part of the global Race to Zero campaign alongside more than 14,000 other participants, including businesses, cities, regions, and institutions. Since 2022, we have participated in the WWF Green Office environmental program, through which we have mapped the carbon dioxide emissions of our headquarters.
These emissions represent only a small share of our total emissions. We have invested in an emissions calculation tool that will enable us to calculate indirect supply chain emissions (Scope 3) for 2026. Logistics
We primarily transport products from overseas factories by sea and strive to avoid air freight, although it is occasionally needed. For international courier services, we use UPS logistics solutions, and for domestic transportation, we use Posti’s transport services.
Our production and transportation processes are optimized through careful forecasting and strict material and production planning. When leaving the factory, our products are packed in plastic bags made from recycled plastic and recyclable cardboard boxes. E-commerce orders are delivered either in a paper mailing bag or a recyclable cardboard box, depending on order size.
