HALTI APPAREL – DESIGNED TO BE RECYCLED
Since Spring 2020, our product range has contained circularly designed apparel that have achieved several prestigious awards and raised much interest globally.
For example, our Halti Hiker Next Generation jacket did win the prestigious ISPO Outstanding Outdoor award in 2019 and the product was launched in Spring 2020. And in June 2021, our 100% recyclable Halti REISSU DrymaxX® monomaterial 3-layer jacket did win, among 75 well-known Nordic outdoor brands, the prestigious Sustainability Awardin Scandinavian Outdoor Award (SOA) Competition. The Halti REISSU DrymaxX® monomaterial 3-layer jacket will be available online and at key retailers in Spring 2022.
These jackets have in common that they are 100% recyclable and all its components are 100% fixable. The number of easily damaged details has been minimised, the zipper and buttons are easy to replace, and no other details require any special tools. The design of these products started from the use of recycled material, all the way up to the end of its lifecycle. When your apparel reaches the end of its lifecycle, you can bring it to a Halti store and we promise to have its components recycled.
THE REISSU DRYMAXX® 3L JACKET - BORN TO BE RECYCLED
We warmly recommend that you use our outdoor clothing and gear for as long as possible, fix them if they are damaged and pass them on to the next user. If your Halti clothing is undamaged but you no longer wear it, you can bring it to any Halti store.
We ensure that all the clothes you return find a new life and a new user through our partners. We are also investigating the opportunity to open a second-hand shop for used high-quality Halti clothes that are still in good condition.
Currently, Finland does not have any processing plant that accepts recycled outdoor clothing and processes it into new production material. We are monitoring the situation closely and believe that a recycling solution is right around the corner.
