Tents and Backpacks

Camping tents are suitable when cycling, backpacking, canoeing or driving with family or friends. For camping use, a tent with not so many wind- and snow-resistant characteristics is generally sufficient; it is better to focus on user-comfort and generous space solutions. 

Hiking tents are more rip resistant and suitable for various conditions. The tents also have aluminium poles, due to their durability and lightness. Tunnel tents have good characteristics for open terrain e.g. in mountain areas. A tunnel tent cuts well through the wind when it is erected parallel to the wind direction. A tunnel tent also generally has a good porch (entrance area) space for the storage of gear and even for cooking in bad weather. On winter hikes, it is good if the tent has snow skirts on which snow or stones can be piled. Dome-model tents have more height and are therefore more suitable for forest conditions.
