Halti Outdoor Weekend 7-9.9.2018

The Halti Outdoor Weekend is a new season-opening event in the hilly landscapes of Vuokatti.

This event is organized to bring hiking, trail running and fat-biking enthusiasts together. It is suitable for everyone, including families, who can enjoy various hiking trails and leisure activities. In addition, during the weekend, the first-ever Hiking World Championship will take place, giving even the most experienced hikers an exciting challenge.

The Halti Outdoor Weekend consists of four different events: Vuokatti Trail Challenge, Vuokatti Hiking, Vuokatti Fatbike and Vuokatti Overnight Hiking. The event is organized in cooperation with Kainuun Liikunta.

The main event area is located in the Vuokatti Hills, where participants can choose between physical challenges and memorable outdoor experiences. Trail runners and hikers taking part in the longest route will experience the legendary 13-hill crossing of the UKK Route. Ultra-distance trail runners will also get to explore the impressive canyon landscapes of Hiidenporti National Park.

The Halti Outdoor Weekend also offers a variety of additional activities and experiences. As one of Finland’s most versatile outdoor destinations, Vuokatti provides accommodation options for different needs and is conveniently located near the Vuokatti Sport Institute event centre.
