The 2019/20 Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Season is set to start on Saturday 26th October with the women’s giant slalom, followed by the men’s race on Sunday. The traditional season-opening is in Sölden, Austria with 3000 meters of altitude and with good early season snow conditions. The FIS Ski Jumping World Cup will kick off from Wisla, Poland 22nd November and The FIS Word Cups for Cross-Country and Nordic Combined will get their start from Halti’s homeland, Finland, Ruka last weekend of November.
Halti and the International Ski Federation FIS will start the eleventh consecutive season together. The cooperation started already in 2008 with the Alpine disciplines and today we are the Official Clothing Supplier for Alpine skiing, Cross-Country skiing, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined, Freestyle Skiing, and Snowboarding. “We are very proud to be the Official Partner for the FIS in all six Olympic disciplines”, says Sami Kiiski, the CEO of Halti.
Halti provides high level, technical and functional outfits to FIS technical staff, officials, FIS Council and the office staff. The clothing is FIS branded and meets the specific needs of each role in the FIS.
“For us, at Halti it is very important to get the feedback from the FIS members on how our clothing performs even in the harshest weather conditions”, says Kiiski. “This helps us further develop our products to meet the needs of professionals and other ski and outdoor enthusiast”.
